Twin Oak Agro Targets New Frontiers in Nigeria's Ginger Industry

Twin Oak Agro Targets New Frontiers in Nigeria's Ginger Industry

Nigeria continues to strengthen its position as one of the world's largest ginger producers, producing approximately 769,000 metric tonnes annually and ranking among the top producers globally. While ginger cultivation has traditionally been concentrated in Northern Nigeria, particularly Kaduna State, the industry presents significant opportunities for expansion into other regions with favourable growing conditions.

Twin Oak Agro was founded with a bold vision, to establish Ogun State as a recognised hub for premium commercial ginger cultivation. What started with 20 acres of ginger production is set to expand to 120 acres through our flagship expansion programme. By combining improved agronomic practices, disease-free planting materials, and sustainable farming techniques, we are building a reliable supply chain capable of serving both domestic and international markets.

Our long-term ambition goes beyond increasing production. We are committed to creating employment opportunities, strengthening Nigeria's agricultural exports, and positioning Ogun State as a strategic destination for premium ginger cultivation.

Growing More Rice for a More Food-Secure Nigeria

Growing More Rice for a More Food-Secure Nigeria

Rice remains one of Nigeria's most important staple foods, with national production reaching about 5.8 million metric tonnes of milled rice annually. Despite this progress, domestic demand continues to exceed supply, creating significant opportunities for commercial producers to strengthen local food production and reduce reliance on imports.

Recognising this opportunity, Twin Oak Agro is investing in commercial rice cultivation through an initial 27-acre rice project, followed by an additional 8.1-acre expansion phase. These projects will incorporate improved irrigation systems, modern crop management practices, and efficient production techniques to deliver high-quality rice for the Nigerian market.

As our operations expand, we aim to support national food security, create sustainable livelihoods for surrounding communities, and contribute to a stronger agricultural value chain.

Expanding Commercial Agriculture for Nigeria's Future

Expanding Commercial Agriculture for Nigeria's Future

Nigeria's agricultural sector remains one of the country's largest economic drivers and a vital source of employment and food production. As demand for quality agricultural products continues to rise locally and internationally, the need for professionally managed commercial farms has never been greater.

Twin Oak Agro is responding to this challenge with an ambitious expansion strategy that will grow its operational footprint from 65 acres today to more than 191 acres. Our roadmap includes commercial sugarcane cultivation, large-scale ginger expansion, additional rice production, and the establishment of a modern greenhouse nursery for high-quality seedling propagation.

Our vision extends beyond growing crops, we are building an integrated agribusiness that attracts investment, creates employment, empowers local communities, and contributes to Nigeria's long-term agricultural transformation.
